Who we are
BridgeX is a private introductions network for members of vetted entrepreneur chapters. The service is operated by [legal entity name], [registered address]. For any privacy question or to exercise your rights, contact [privacy@yourdomain.com].
What we collect
- Account & identity: your name and email address (used to sign you in via a one-time magic link).
- Profile: information you provide during onboarding and in your profile — your business, industry and niche, markets, what you can help with, what you could supply or buy, expansion plans, partnership preferences, and similar professional details you choose to share with your chapter. A small set of fields (marked private, such as your revenue bracket) is never shown to other members and never sent to the matching model.
- Introductions & messages: the introduction requests you send or receive and the content of messages you exchange with other members. Message content is stored so the conversation is available to both parties.
- Technical & usage: a session cookie to keep you signed in, and event/audit logs recording key actions (sign-ins, intro requests, admin actions) for security and service operation.
Why we use it (lawful basis)
We process your data to provide the service you signed up for (performance of a contract), to run and secure the network and surface relevant introductions (our legitimate interests in operating BridgeX), and, where required, on the basis of your consent. [Confirm the lawful basis per processing activity with counsel.]
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data or use it for advertising. Within your chapter, other members can see the profile details you choose to share; your email address is only revealed to another member after a mutually accepted introduction. We rely on a small number of processors to run the service:
- Resend — delivers sign-in and notification emails.
Onboarding offers you a set of instructions you can run in whatever AI assistant you already use, then paste the answer back. That is optional, and that exchange happens between you and them under their terms, not ours. BridgeX never sees it. Nothing reaches us until you paste it back and choose which answers to keep.
- Amazon Web Services (AWS Lightsail) — hosts the application and database in the eu-west-1 (Ireland) region.
- Stripe — processes payments (only if billing is enabled; not used during the pilot).
How long we keep it
We keep your data for as long as you are a member. Encrypted database backups are retained for 14 days. When you ask us to erase your account, we remove your name and email; historical introductions with other members are retained in a de-identified form so their records remain intact.
Your rights
If you are in the EU/EEA or UK, you have the right to access, correct, erase, port, or restrict the processing of your data, and to object to processing. To exercise any of these, email [privacy@yourdomain.com]. You may also lodge a complaint with your data protection authority (in Ireland, the Data Protection Commission).
Cookies
We use a single essential cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
Changes
We may update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be communicated to members. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
